• Lenten Study With Pastor Dan: “Traveling the Prayer Paths of Jesus.” Wednesday evenings, Feb. 29-April 4, from 6:30-7:25 p.m.

• “Parenting ‘Drop-In’ Group.” Topical discussions every Sunday at 11:30 a.m. in Wiltse Center. Topics: “How to Walk Away From a Fight With Your Child,” and “Kids and Lying,” plus “Giving Consequences That Work.” Open to all parents.

• “Comparative Religions Courses: Catholicism, Hinduism, Buddhism, the Occult and More.” Ryder Lounge.

• “The Church of Facebook”: Based upon Jesse Rice’s book. Sunday morning discussions at 11:30 a.m./Room 10. April 15-May 20. Learn how social networks help people create “community” without boundaries.

• “Women’s Prayer Retreat-Walking the Labyrinth”: Begins @ 6 p.m. April 20 through noon April 21, throughout the church.

• Join the Dunes’ “Drill Team.” Dress up and march with us in the U.S. Coast Guard Festival Grand Parade: Practices begin June 25th and go through August 3 at church. REGISTRATION DEADLINE: June 10. This year’s theme, “76 Trombones” from the Broadway hit, “The Music Man.” All marchers will perform with trombone kazoos. GRAND PARADE DATE: SATURDAY, AUGUST 4, 2012.

• "Caring Prayer Group for Those Who Care for Others." This group meets on the last Monday of every month at 1 p.m. / Ryder Lounge.

• "FaithLink" (Year-long study for adults wishing to apply their United Methodist beliefs to current faith issues and world events.) Held every Sunday, 9:30-10:15 a.m./Library.

• "Walking with God in the Desert " (Ray VanderLaan series. Every Sunday, 11:30 a.m./Rooms 13 & 14.

• "Sunday Morning Book Study" (Ongoing book discussion group focuses on contemporary authors Philip Gulley, Francis Collins, Marcus Borg, Michael Dowd, et. al., with thought-provoking discussions.) 11:30 a.m./Library.

• "Monday Evening Book Discussion Group" Fourth Monday/month at 7 p.m./Ryder Lounge.

• MISSION OUTREACH: UMC-DUNES members educate ourselves about mission opportunities in our community, across the nation and the world. We support Love In the Name of Christ, Family Promise, Mission to Area People Supper House, International Aid, Salvation Army, plus an ongoing mission in the Philippines that provides everyday health care, and more.
