Sondra Deephouse Metzler has lived most of her life in Fremont, MI.  She graduated from Fremont High School, then attended Central Michigan University in education.  She has taught for 36 yrs. in Muskegon Hts. and Grand Haven in early education.  After retiring from education (in 2000), she volunteered here at Church of the Dunes in cleaning the kitchen downstairs and taking inventory.  That evolved into a part time kitchen coordinator position for the church.  Sondra keeps the kitchen clean, coordinates activities and needs for both (upstairs & downstairs) kitchens.  She also has plans and leads volunteers in food preparation for many activities at the church. 

She has a daughter Susan and a Grandson Jeffery.  Sondra also volunteers at the Tri-Cities Museum and M.A.W. School.
