It is an ancient custom to have a burial ground on church
property, which further adds to the sacred nature of our lives
before God. The Remembrance Garden is an integral part of
our beautiful church facility. It is an expression of our
Christian faith and love and brings to all a message of assurance
and peace. The Garden serves not only as a repository for
the cremains of our loved ones, but also as a place of beauty
and quiet for meditation and remembrance. The church dedicated
our Garden in May of 1997 so that this ancient tradition can
be continued. Often, a funeral or memorial service will conclude
with a Committal Service at the Garden itself.
Anyone may use this Remembrance Garden. There is a $91 fee (plus shipping costs)
for a bronze plaque which lists the name and birth and death
dates of those interred. These plaques are affixed to a low,
curving brick wall which defines the front of the garden.
Interested parties are invited to contact the church office
or pastor for more details or with any questions.
