Stephen Ministry is a method of reaching those who are suffering one or several of life’s challenges such as divorce, death of a family member or job loss.  Trained care givers are available to meet on a one-on-one basis to work through these challenges.  The Church of the Dunes is a place where caring is practiced.  If someone is recognized to be suffering from one of life’s challenges, we are ready to assist them back into the light.

We are looking forward to beginning a new training class for Stephen Ministry candidates in September of 2008.  We are looking for caring individuals who are willing to meet as a team for two years and are also willing to accept the responsibility of helping those in need.

The instructors for this training are Robyn Daane, Rhonda Reese, Beth Sheffield, and Don Woodward.  Each of them has had formal instructor training and has had the opportunity to work with many care receivers.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, please contact Judy at the office or any of the instructors.
