The UMW is made up of 5 circles or small groups that hold regular monthly meetings throughout the year;  however, there are several general membership meetings or special events held throughout the year that bring the Circle members together as well as include women in the church who are not affiliated with a Circle.

NEWS FROM THE UNITED METHODIST WOMEN

HOLLY BERRY BAZAAR

Thank you all so much for the items you have donated to the bazaar.   After taking stock of our supplies, and our storage space, we have decided that we have enough supplies like, fiberfill, fleece material and dried flowers as this time.  Since our storage is limited we have decided that the best plan is to request any specific items that we may need going forward as we need them.   WE SPECIFICALLY NEED HELP FROM ANYONE WHO IS PROFICIENT IN CALLIGRAPHY, AND DECORATIVE PAINTING.  Please contact Marion Fitch at 296-0844  or Beth Sheffield at 846-5255 if you would like to help with any specific projects.  Remember  Bazaar Workbees are held every Tuesday in the Social Hall at 10:00 am.  Come and help for whatever time you have. 

DISPERSEMENT OF FUNDS

Over the past several months the UMW has earned $3,000 between Rummage Sale earnings and receipts from some service projects.  These fund were donated as follows:

$1000.00       Love, INC

$  650.00        to pay for a Gleaner’s Truck load of food

$  800.00        purchase Bibles for each child who attends Camp New Day

$  250.00        Women in Transition

$  200.00        Dunes Camper Scholarships

$  100.00        First Priority

UMW OFFERS GIFT CARDS FOR ALL OCCASIONS

Did you know that you can buy a gift card for any occasion from the UMW and the proceeds goes to missions?   The minimum contribution is $5.00 up  to whatever you wish to give and you can receive a card celebrating a birth, a marriage, an anniversary, to say thank you, or wish someone happy birthday.  The donation will be given in honor of the occasion to missions.  This is a great idea when you just don’t know what to buy.  You can contact Ruth Woodward for further information or to purchase a card.
