Youth Programs
Sundays:
- 3D: 11:20- noon, This is a program for High School students and their parents for Sunday morning during the education block. In this program, they will Dream, Discover, and Discern (3D). They will learn about things such as basic Bible structure, what it means to be a Christian, and how to incorporate faith into all of their lives.
- 2:52: 11:20 -noon, This is the counterpart program for 3D. In this program Middle School students and their parents will learn how, and what it means, to grow in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and all the people (Luke 2:52).
Evening Program: 6:00-7:30 p.m. Middle and High School students will come and participate in one of three programs (depending on the sunday)
- Feast: Feast is a once a month Sunday evening program that includes a potluck with parents and then a time for just youth to have fun, participate in activities, and enjoy each others' company.
- L.O.L.: This is also a once a month Sunday evening program where youth will learn why to serve others and will actively serve those in our communities. Parents may be invited to some of these nights.
- Koinonia: This program will occur approximately two Sunday evenings a month. It will include fellowship for all youth, and break-off small groups where the students will discuss real life topics. There will be four small groups (age and gender will determine what group youth are placed in). The participants in these small groups will discuss things that are close to home for them in a safe and welcoming atmosphere.
Fridays:
Middele School Movie Nights-usually the first Friday of the month (check your calendars) at Ashley's apartment. A time for Middle School students to bring friends, relax and have fun!
High School Movie Nights-usually the third Friday of the month (check your calendars) at Ashley's apartment. A time for High School students to bring friends, relax and have fun!
CAMP INFO:
Camp is a great place to have fun, connect with other Christians in community, experience God, and create memories that will last for a lifetime. Whether it is singing at fire bowl, kayaking on a lake, learning archery, going to chapel, or star gazing—camp is the place to do it! Here at UMC of the Dunes, we encourage every kid and youth to experience summer camp, not only because camp is loads of fun, but because it is also a chance to be transformed. Please consider going to a summer camp this year—and bring a friend!
